Started in 1998, Shakespeare & Co. is an independent bookstore in Missoula, MT that sells new books, postcards, cards, blank journals, gifts and magazines.
Our name, of course, harkens back to Paris. It was suggested (to us) by Tom Moylan, who lived in Missoula and was a good man and a good friend. Although we share this name (it is not trademarked) with various incarnations of Shakespeare & Co. the world over (Paris, New York, Berkeley), we are not part of a chain.
We host events with local and national authors, support the community, host a kids and adult book group, and enjoy our view of Missoula's Hip Strip and Clark Fork River.
You can shop our Shakespeare & Co. t-shirts (designed by Courtney Blazon), gift certificates, and signed editions. We will gladly ship throughout the country.
